Now, I`ve known a few people that hog the mic at Heartland, a local karaoke bar which myself and friends sometimes visit.  My American friend from Nebraska was probably the worst offender, but in the guy`s defense he can actually sing quite well and like any sane person, stabbing him would never cross my mind and hopefully anyone elses…perhaps.

But anyway, for a guy to be killed for hogging the mic seems pretty damn extreme in any case.  Of course whatever the man said after being told to get off the stage is anyone`s guess, but damn… wonder if there`s ever been any cases similar to this in Japan?

I`ve seen my fair share of gore I guess you could say.  One early morning before a snowboarding trip I witnessed a huge, congealing pile of blood which was probably a result of a local yakuza stabbing.  There was no body but the floor was a terrible mess - one thing I would like to forget, but probably never will.

On the 7th of October, 2008 a Spanish man decided he wanted to go skinny dipping in the moat surrounding Japan`s Imperial Palace, home of Emperor Akihito, attracting a lot of local and media attention in the busy Tokyo district.

The man, bald, fat, 40 years of age and butt-naked was eventually apprehended after nearly 2 hours by Police. During these 2 hours, the man splashed water and hurled rocks at Police and even attempted to clobber them with a near by pole. Soon after he was forced back into the moat and eventually gave himself up after scaling the moat wall a second time.

Watching the videos you`ll realize just how incompetent Japan`s Police Force really is. If this had been in Australia or America, the Spanish man would have been apprehended in an eye blink. Seriously, running away and being unable to bring down a man armed with a pole and a few rocks is shameful. The police even had shields and were too whimpy for crying out loud!
